Focusing On ... Dan Benz says his boys tennis team at Knolls had a "banner year' in 2010, finishing 15-6 - the third best record in program history - third in the conference, fifth in the county tournament and 1-1 in tstate tournament play ... and George Tioutine (24-1) and Dan Albers (21-5) made the state singles tourney.

No. 1 singles George Tioutine was 24-1 for his

sophomore season at Knolls, losing only in the

NJSIAA singles tournament.

No. 2 singles Danny Albers finished 21-5 and also

qualified for the states, where he was 1-1.

Zach Frid had a winning 12-10 mark at third singles.

Eric Schmitt (above) and Ankor Khandelwal (not

pictured) were 6-8 when teamed at first doubles.

When Adam Halpern and Kevin Lou turned in a 13-10 record when teamed at second doubles for Knolls.
