The win improved the Rockets' season record to 4-3-1; Morristown is 0-8.
Carpenter scored on a one-yard run to cap a first-quarter drive that was keyed by a 33-yard pass play from quarterback Michael Luo to Patrick McAndrews.
The Rockets threatened again in the first half when a Luo-to-Evan Turner screen pass was good for 38 yards to the Morristown 27-yard line but Rockaway Township turned over the ball to end the threat.
The Rockets took a 14-0 lead in the third quarter on Dougherty's 46-yard run and Dougherty's 2-point conversion kick, the Rockets' first successful 2-point conversion of the season.
In the fourth period, Morristown got down to the Rockaway Township 24-yard where the Rockets defense held and took over on downs. Morristown did score on a 28-yard run on its next possession to cut the Rockets' lead to eight points, but time ran out on the Junior Colonials.

ROCKAWAY TWP. - The Rockaway Township Rockets peewee team lost a 21-6 decision to Twin Boro when the Bears scored two late TDs in a Morris County Youth Football League game played at Mendham High School on Sunday, Oct. 24.
Trailing 8-6 with the ball on their own 10-yard line, the Rockets lost a fumble that the Bears converted into a touchdown and a PAT run for a 15-6 lead.
The Rockets took the ensuing kickoff, moved the ball to about mid-field and, with time running out, quarterback Michael Luo was hit trying to pass, the ball came loose, and the Bears ran it back 45 yards for the game's final TD.
The Rockets (3-3-1) played the Bears (6-1) almost even for the first three-and-a-half quarters. Twin Boro took an 8-0 lead with a first-quarter TD pass and two-point conversion kick, a lead that held up through the first half.

Nieman's top on PAT try gives Rockets 20-19 win

ROCKAWAY TWP. - Billy Nieman's fourth-quarter tackle on a Mount Olive runner attempting to run in a conversion point enabled the Rockaway Township Rockets peewees to hold on to a 20-19 victory over the Marauders in a Morris County Youth Football League game played at Turkey Brook Field in Mount Olive on Sunday, Oct. 10.
Mount Olive's third and final touchdown came late in the game and brought the Marauders to within a point of the Rockets (2-2-1).  Mount Olive attempted a running play for a one-point PAT that would have tied the score at 20 had not Nieman come up with his big stop.

Nieman also recovered a Mount Olive fumble in the fourth quarter to set up the Rockets game-winning drive that was capped when Patrick McAndrew scored on a 15-yard run. Shane Dougherty added the all-important PAT on a run to break a 13-13 tie and give the Rockets the lead for good.

A pass interception by Carpenter gave Rockaway Township  the ball on the Jefferson 41-yard line but the Rockets' offense sputtered and eventually fumbled the ball away to the Falcons.
Jefferson moved the ball to the Rockets' 3-yard line where tackles for losses by Billy Nieman and Shane Dougherty and a combined stop by Jerry Katz and Tom Griese on a 4th-and-goal put a halt to the Falcons' scoring threat.
