ROCKAWAY TWP. - Casey Lyness scored six goals in a game when the RockDen Lady Renegades 7th/8th-grade Black team's second-half rally fell a goal short in a 12-11 loss to Sparta Blue in a girls lacrosse game played at Pocono Field in Denville on Wednesday, May 11, 2011.
    Corrine Musser, Julia Buckingham, Nicole Rizzo, Shaye Clark and Tracy Sherr each added one goal and Brianna Valleta, Kelsey Dugan, Margauz Thys, Musser and Lyness each had one assist in the game.
    Hannah Whelchel and Valleta each spent a half in the Lady Renegades' goal and Whelchel finished with 10 saves and Valleta had four stops. Valleta's assist came during the half in which she played goal.
    The Lady Renegades' next game is set for Saturday, May 14, against the Montville Fire at Pocono Road Field at 7 p.m.

Lyness, Sherr each net 3 goals in 11-10 victory

  ROCKAWAY TWP. - Casey Lyness and Tracy Sherr each scored three goals and added two assists when the RockDen Lady Renegades 7th-8th Black team edged New Providence, 11-10, in a girls lacrosse game played at Pocono Field in Denville on Saturday, May 7, 2011.
    Caroline Marvin, Julia Buckingham, Kellyanne Gangaware, Kelsey Dugan and Nicole Rizzo each added a goal.
    Hannah Whelchel was in goal for the Lady Renegades for the first half and finished with five saves. Valleta was the second-half goalie and she finished with 10 saves and also had an assist while in goal.
    The Lady Renegades next game is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, when they entertain Sparta Blue in a 6 p.m. game at Pocono Field.

Sherr, Lyness key 8-5 win over Randolph

  ROCKAWAY TWP. - Tracy Sherr scored four goals and added two assists and Casey Lyness had three goals and an assist when the RockDen Lady Renegades 7th/8th-grade Black team defeated Randolph Blue, 8-5, in a game at Pocono Field in Denville on Thursday, May 5, 2011.
    Shaye Clark added a single goal to the Lady Renegades' attack while Julia Buckingham had three assists and Danielle Willis, Hannah Whelchel and Kelsy Dugan each finished with one.
    Brianna Valleta had a busy day in goal for RockDen as she faced 24 shots and finished with 18 saves for an outstanding 75% save ratio. She stopped seven shots in the first half and then had 11 saves in the second half when Randolph put on the offensive pressure in an attempt to catch the Lady Renegades.
    The next game for the Lady Renegades is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, against New Providence at Pocono Field.
