DENVILLE - The Morris Knolls High School boys fencing team lost an 18-9 decision to St. Benedict’s at St. Benedict’s in Newark on Monday, Feb. 15.
St. Benedict’s won all three weapons, taking the sabre 6-3, the foil 8-1, and the epee 5-4. The Eagles are 7-5 on the season after the loss; St. Benedict’s improved to 8-4.

DENVILLE - Morris Knolls lost an 18-9 decision to unbeaten state-power Columbia in a high school boys fencing meet held at Columbia High School on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
Columbia improved its season record to 11-0 with the win.

DENVILLE - The Morris Knolls boys fencing team lost a 19-4 verdict to North Hunterdon in a match at Knolls on Monday, Jan. 4.
Knolls is 1-1 with the loss; North Hunterdeon improved to 3-1.

Eagles open with 19-8 win over West Essex
DENVILLE - The Morris Knolls High School boys fencing team opened its 2009-2010 season with a 19-8 victory over West Essex in a meet held at the Caldwell Middle School in North Caldwell on Friday, Dec. 18.
The Eagles, coached by Jay Haase, went 7-2 in foil and epee while the sabre squad finished 5-4.
Luke Olenowski and Gianluca Borrelli each finished with 3-0 marks to lead Knolls.
Derek Hsu, Sean Butterworth, Hunter Liu, Schulier Nyegaard and Ian Miller each had two wins and Ben Dutton, Christopher Triggiani and Dan Martinoni each had one to complete the Eagles scoring in their opener.
