Unbeaten Lady Lions win
4th straight spring flight title

DENVILLE - The unbeaten Denville Hub U13 Lady Lions travel soccer team won its fourth straight spring season flight championship in the Morris County Youth Soccer Association this past spring in impressive style.
The Lady Lions finished with eight wins, no losses and two ties in Flight 4 of the MCYSA this past spring, posting seven shutouts and outscoring its opponents, 21-5.
The Lady Lions opened their season by coming back from a three-goal deficit to beat the Roxury Twisters, 4-3, in April and finished with a convincing 3-1 vicory over the Bridgewater United Battle.
The Lady Lions also reached the quarterfinal round of the League Cup before falling to the Highland Panthers in an extra-time penalty shootout at Highland earlier in the season.

Adetula, D'Allessio, Ferguson spark 2-0 victory
DENVILLE - Tito Adetula and Michelle D'Alessio scored the goals and keeper Sarah Ferguson stopped all nine shots she faced for the shutout as the Denville HUB Soccer Lady Lions U13 girls travel team defeated the Bridgewater United Dynamite, 2-0, in a Morris County Youth Soccer Association game played at Bridgewater on cold and damp Sunday, April 25.
Adetula gave the Lady Lions a 1-0 lead early in the game when she lofted a shot over the Bridgewater keeper's head into the goal. D'Alessio's goal came during the second half when her angle shot found the back corner of the net.
Jillian Wolf assisted on both goals as the Lady Lions improved their spring record to 2-0.
Solid defensive play by stopper Meredith Obaytek and sweeper Nicole Krysa, both of whom played the entire game, led a Lady Lion defense that limited Bridgewater's shots on net and contributed to Ferguson's shutout.
Next up for the Lions is a game on Sunday, May 2, against the Florham Park Blue Thunder at Emmit Lower Field in Florham Park at 2:45 p.m.

Lady Lions rally from 3-0 deficit to win, 4-3
DENVILLE - Michelle D'Alessio's second goal of the game capped a four-goal rally as the Denville HUB Lady Lions U13 girls erased a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Rockaway Sparks, 4-3, in a Morris County Youth Soccer Association spring opener played at Knuth Field here on Sunday, April 11.
The Lady Lions, seeking their fourth straight spring championship, fell behind as the Sparks scored the first three goals of the game - one on a penalty kick - with all three goals coming in the first half.
D'Alessio scored her first goal of the game late in the first half after taking a pass from Tito Adeltula to cut the Rockaway lead to 3-1 at the halftime break.
The Lady Lions put the pressure on Rockaway in the second half and Meredith Obaytek and Liz Ertle scored to tie the game at 3-3 and set up D'Alessio's winning goal.
Assisting on the second-half goals were Jullianna Urban, Jill Wolf, Shayna McMahon and Obaytek.
Sarah Ferguson and Catie Owen split the goaltending duties for the Lady Lions with Ferguson making five saves and Owen stopping all six shots she faced in the second half.
The Lady Lions are idle this coming weekend and play their next game on Sunday, April 25, against the Bridgewater United Dynamites in Bridgewater.
