Morris Youth Rugby: Mike Stumpf (left to right), Chris Walsh, Simon Barley and Kevin Taunton were among the golfers who played in the Morris County Rugby Club's golf outing that raised funds for the club's youth rugby program. Stumpf and Barley are youth coaches in the rugby program and Walsh, Stumpf and Barley still play in the club's Masters Division. Needless to say, a good time was had by all at the outing, which was held at the Bear Brook County Club in Newton on Friday, June 4.

Foundation of Denville outing

      The second annual Foundation of Denville Charity Golf Outing will be held at the Rockaway River County Club in Denville on Monday, Sept. 27.
      The Foundation of Denville was formed to recognize and promote education excellence and generate funding and community support for the Denville K-8 public schools - Lakeview Elementary, Riverview Elementary, and Valleyview Middle Schools.
      Proceeds raised from the golf outing will go toward achieving near and long-term goals for the three schools.
      The registration fee of $185 for each golfer includes 18 holes of golf with cart; use of practice range, putting green and locker room; a golfing goodie bat; a box lunch; a customized outing golf hat; prizes for lowest team score, highest team score, closest to pin and longest drive; a post-golf reception and dinner; and beverages following golf.
      Registration on the day of the outing starts at 10:30 a.m. and the practice facilities will be open at 11 a.m. The outing will begin with a shotgun start and a scramble format will be used for scoring purposes.
      Can't make the golf and want to join the crowd for the post-golf dinner? Reservations at $60 each are also now being accepted.
      Corporate sponsorships are also available and will be taken at a first-come, first-served basis
      Golfers, sponsors, those wishing to make donations to the sponsors and golfers seeking additional information about the outing are asked to contact Golf Outing Chairperson Kevin Mahn at fodgolfouting@yahoo.com or 973-214-1553.
